Vaneesha, Logan + Sweet Isla

I love this family. This session reminded me that going into a session with a specific of expectations is not always the best thing. Isla was cranky (as any 3 month old with a big black thing (camera) in her presence and not to mention the stranger pointing it at her would be). I didn't bring some of my standard "helper things" like Sophie and the bean bag but all of these circumstances provided a pure, organic session where the focus was the spirit of the family and not what Isla looked like in a knit hat sleeping. Now don't get me wrong - those photos are adorable.  To me, photography is about capturing a family, person, child, couple, whomever in a moment in time.

I have to share an email from the mom as it touched me and made me so thankful for what I get to do:
"We are in LOVE with these pictures - you captured us as a family so beautifully and so realistically...I am sooo happy we found you!....I will always look back at these and remember her expression, her favorite book, the blankie and mat she played on...I love love love that these are in our home. So special.  I could cry when I look at these. You have given us the most priceless gift imaginable."

Thanks for making my heart smile.
